We will soon be changing car seats. Right now we are using the Graco Snap & Go. We will be switching to the Britax Marathon. ( I really love the Graco & have been procrastining the switch.) Last week Lou was trying to parallel park & did a lot of stop & go with the car & it made Angelina throw up. Luckily she was wearing her snowsuit & it got the most of it. This has made me consider buying car seat covers. The Graco has a vinyl cushion so it is easy to clean, but the Britax has a cloth seat. I just googled the covers & are they really $55 - $70?? I didn’t try e-bay because I’d like to buy them new. Any suggestions where they might be less money???

I’ve seen new ones for sale on e-bay, but I’m not sure of the prices. We have Britax Marathons & the covers have been washed in the washer (hand wash cycle) several times. They’ve held up great so far & dry pretty quickly (air dry). Owen vomits in the car sometimes from migraines so we’ve gotten cleaning the cover down to a science.

Right now Faith and Emma are using a couple of Cosco seats that Allie used, but we are hoping to get a couple of the Britax, they just look so comfortable! And we do a lot of traveling, so comfort is very important to us. Allie hated her carseats, and now I know why, she needed a Britax! Good to know that the seat covers are so easy to wash, thanks for the tip Keri!

Yep, they’re expensive. Even after years some covers are still worth a nice amount of money. Or people buy a seat on sale with a cover they don’t like, buy a new one and sell their new on eBay. Sofie has been in a Marathon and now both twins are and Sofie’s in a Radian. I’ve washed the Marathon covers several times (not too often, maybe 4-5 times) and very easy. Cold machine wash / delicate cycle and air dry. Just never put the straps in the machine (spot dry them, not soak), and you can always call Britax and order new straps.
