Today was so much fun, but very exhausting. I’m pooped. Keri, her hubby and all her kiddos came today for a photo shoot of all my kids and my SIL’s little girl. We have been trying to get a photo of all of the grandkids on my hubby’s side of the family and today we finally accomplished it! We plan to give the group photo to my MIL for Mother’s Day and then of course to my FIL for Father’s Day. Let’s just say, it was a little crazy, but very fun, and Keri is so easy to work with, I can’t wait to see how the pictures turn out! But I have no doubt that they will be beautiful. You guys have seen her work, and the girl knows her stuff! Thanks Keri!!

Also, just wanted to let everyone know that I have added a few more twin related blogs to the blogroll.  You guys should go check them out!  Ok, well, that’s it…I’m out!

Well, I woke up as usual, got the babies’ food ready then went to their room to get them. OH noooo…….Frankie was covered in rashes!!! Blotches, bumps, redness, all over his body!!! I was able to get an appt at the Ped at 12:15 & she said he’s allergic to the amoxicillin! He’s been taking it since last Fri, so he’s been on it 8 days. He hasn’t had anything new. So that must be it. She gave him a cortizone shot & prescribed cortizone which we will pick up later. I bought Calamine lotion & dabbed him all over & gave him Benadryl. (3/4 tsp as directed by dr).  My poor little baby!!! He was crying & crying after the appt. I fed him lunch & now he’s napping. The dr said it could take 3-4 days for it to go away!! My mom was allergic to penicillin so I guess he got it from her!  It’s weird though because this is the 2nd time he’s been on amox & nothing happened the first time.

We missed Easter this year due to illness. Lou brought something home last week & got everyone sick. The babies had fevers & the Ped said they had ear infections. So they’re on amoxicillin again. They are better now. Frankie is coughing so we are using the nebulizer before bed. I never got to dress up Angelina!!! Lou went to his parents’ house just to say happy Easter & he came home with more toys & goodies for the babies.  Maybe in a week or so we will be able to pay them a visit to say thanks.

Okay, I admit it.  My 15 month old babies are not sleeping through the night.  Not even close depending on how you define it.  I think their naps may be affecting their night wakings.  I’ve tried to get them to take only 1 nap a day but they get so tired it makes the day miserable.  I’ve tried adjusting their bedtime but they just wake up earlier in the morning, which throws off the naps, which leads to bad nights. 

They have always gone to sleep for naps & bedtime “drowsy but awake”.  We follow a soothing bedtime routine.  They go to bed around 7:30 pm.  White noise is playing in their room.  According to all the experts they should be sleeping well. 

So how are your babies sleeping?  When & how long do they nap?  What time do they go to bed & wake up?  Please give me any advice you can think of b/c I’m tired, they’re tired, & we’re all grouchy. 

***In my defense, since they were very young we’ve been battling severe reflux & ear infections that contributed to their sleep problems.  That’s finally all under control & we’re trying to get them into healthy sleep patterns.

So, it’s been a few days since i’ve posted anything - This is actually the 1st time i’ve been online since yesterday. Anyway - crazy week.

Samantha went to the ENT on tuesday and got her ear cleaned out.

Wednesday, i get a call from daycare that madeline has LICE!!!  Well - turns out that she had MAYBE 4-5 nits and it looks like we got it all, however, EVERYTHING in the house still needed washed/cleaned. Jordan and her sleep together and so far, jordan has no sign of having it - she has been checked multiple times each day. Madeline got it from two of the girls she plays with at the daycare who have now had lice for the 3rd time this year. I’m really surprised she hadnt gotten it before!

Thursday - Madeline had an eye check up to see the progress of patching… well, progress is slower than anticipated, so now they want to do an MRI of her eye to make sure something isn’t going on - She did such a great job during the entire exam, so at least that went smoothly.

Today - I had to take Samantha back to the ENT for them to check her ear again and make sure that it didnt need cleaned out again - it was perfect, as i had suspected because she has slept through the night for the past 2 nights!

whew - i’m glad it’s friday - i’m off work on monday. YIPPEE!!!

Yep…the word is out. “Brangelina” are having twins! This was actually announced a few days ago, but I’m just now finding out about it. Here’s a great article from E! Online. They are talking about how having twins is the new “trend” amongst the celebs.

What do you guys think about this?? I don’t know, maybe I’m the only one into celebrity gossip, but I always like to hear about celebs having babies and now so many are having twins!
