Are “Twins” Becoming the New Celebrity Trend?

Yep…the word is out. “Brangelina” are having twins! This was actually announced a few days ago, but I’m just now finding out about it. Here’s a great article from E! Online. They are talking about how having twins is the new “trend” amongst the celebs.

“Single baby bumps are so 2007. This season, the most stylish wombs are sporting two placentas.

Jennifer Lopez joined Marcia Cross and Julia Roberts when she gave birth to twins Max and Emme last month. Now Angelina Jolie is getting into Hollywood’s “more is more” uterine style.

A source close to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie confirms to E! News that the couple is expecting two newborns—and the trendy twins will be born in France, talk about chic!”

What do you guys think about this?? I don’t know, maybe I’m the only one into celebrity gossip, but I always like to hear about celebs having babies and now so many are having twins! Here’s a couple of pictures of Angelina and one with her kids coming out of a corner store in New Orleans. I think it is so adorable how each kid has their own bag of snacks! :) Thanks to my sis for posting that one!

It sure looks like it. I mean some of them are older (40+) so chances go up, but I can’t help wondering whether they get “extra twin” help or so?

And there is Nancy Grace, Patrick Dempsey’s wife …

Oh Yeah! That’s right! I forget about the celebrity dads. Yeah, Franca, that is exactly what I was thinking. Supposedly after 30 your chances go up in releasing more than one egg. I honestly think that is why I had twins, plus my great-grandmother had 3 sets of twins. So I had both of those going for me! :)

And age plays a role too … most of these moms are not in their early 20s so that my be a major factor too. And possibly they’re not scared for a little extra help in terms of Clomid or other drugs (not necessarily IUI or IVF), etc. to increase their chances to get pregnant quickly (not necessarily twins).

We had no twins in our family. I was 33 when I conceived them, 3rd pregnancy and maybe my body was a little screwed up after my miscarriage as well. You never know … except that I did release 2 eggs!
