Hey you guys!

June 25, 2008

Long time no talkie!  We have moved and are finally back with dh.  All of the kids are doing well.  The transition has been easy, very nice.  I don’t really have a lot of new news…..pretty normal day to day life.  The girls have their 18mo check up on the 7th of July.  We may be going in the direction of tubes for both of them:( they have had 9 and 10 different ear infections and way to many antibiotics.  I know some of you have had tubes….has it helped?

I haven’t quite figured out how to use this page yet.  Is the view supposed to be different when you first get on the site vs. when you log in?  Also, I have a different email address.  I changed it on my account but was unsure if there was anything else I needed to do.

Talk to you all later!

Rachel

Hey Rachel! So great to hear from you. Sorry to hear about the tubes, but maybe it will bring your girls some relief. Hope all goes well with that.

Yeah….the blog itself, is what you see here. But when you login, you use the Wordpress interface to compose your posts. So you are doing it right.

Again, so good to hear from you, and don’t be a stranger! :)

hi Rachel! My son Jacob had tubes put it when he was about 18 months after lots of ear infections. They helped a lot! He had new ones put in when he was almost 4. He had his tonsils and adenoids removed at the same time (sometimes those problems go hand in hand). One tube fell out recently (he’ll be 7 in Sept). We may not replace them this time as he hasn’t had any problems lately. We did notice a problem last year when he put his head under water when swimming. A lot of kids with ear issues have to wear earplugs in the water.

The surgery was short and there was hardly any recovery time.
