Here is a picture of Jacob & Cole from tonight. I’ve been wanting to get a shot like this for a while & it occurred to me the other day I better do it soon before they’re too big for naked pictures. There’s one of Owen just because…
Faith and Emma Eating Mac and Cheese!
Here is Emma and Faith eating their Mac and Cheese with spoons. Well…I think Faith got a couple of spoonfuls in, but Emma figured that her hands are the best way to go! LOL
They are gaining…
When we went to the dr on Sat. She weighed the babies. In one month Frankie gained 8oz & Angelina gained 4oz. They still are reluctant to try new foods. Angelina will try some but Frankie gets tight-lipped and won’t try anything. I’ve been adding pastina, shredded/finely cut meat, and cheese to their diet. Oh, and pudding. For lunch I gave them some canned apricots that I pureed, but I left some big pieces in there & they seemed to like it. I’ve been using fresh fruit & either fresh, frozen or canned veggies instead of the jar food. I have been buying the stage 3 foods though (turkey & garden veg, chicken veg & veg beef) & mixing my pasta & meat into it. I don’t know how to make that kind of a gravy. I tried a regular jar of chicken gravy but Angelina didn’t like it. I’ve given a side dish of the pastina with regular red sauce & seemed to like it. I haven’t tried mac & cheese yet…not sure how to make the cheese sauce. Someone said I could just shred cheddar cheese over the pasta while it’s still hot. Anyone have any food advice or recipes? I know you all are way ahead of me on this, so any help would be appreciated. How did you get your loved ones to start eating the regular foods? Did they refuse & then one day just try it??? I’m thinking of trying hotdogs soon. But I don’t want them eating that all the time. I’d rather give them more nutritous foods.
Ahhhh…no more fevers!
Just wanted to post an update on the babies. Angelina hasn’t had a fever but is still on antibiotics. She had a drippy nose after sneezing for the past 2 days but didn’t sneeze at all today. Frankie awoke to a temp of 99.4. Not bad after seeing all those high numbers. The dr had given me a prescription to fill only if he was above 101.5 on Mon. It never got that high. yay! It’s nice to wake up to chit-chatting kids again (not screaming kids). I can relax a bit now.
Pool Pics…

As promised….here are the pool pics from last week. Hope you like them! I tried to post them in the photo gallery but they were too large & I didn’t feel like playing with the sizes in photo shop.
Lovin’ that Personal Hygiene!
Faith and Em are taking a real interest in toothbrushing, handwashing, and using thier potties. Not too much pressure on the whole potty thing though! I consider it an “intro to potty 101″ and if they pick it up, hurray for me, but if not, we have plenty of time.
It’s filling up some empty hours of summer so that is always good

Every year, I know I personally love doing a lot of my Christmas shopping on line. One place I’ve always bought toys for the kids is Amazon. Well right now, Amazon is sponsoring a really cool event called the Hasbro Hot Summer Toy Event.

This is for such a very good cause. And one of my favorites and sure to be a favorite among others is this adorable Animatronic, life-size baby dinosaur. It stands over 3 feet tall and comes to “life” with realistic sounds and motion! It responds to your voice and touch with roaring and laughing sounds, and has expressive tail, head, eye, mouth and horn movements. It also plays 4 different adventure-themed tunes for immersed, make-believe fun! Perfect gift for your dinosaur lovers! So if you are interested, you should hop on over to Amazon today!
Sleepless in NY
Yesterday Angelina had a fever of 101 when she woke up (screaming, of course). I tried to give her tylenol & she threw up. Luckily we were near the sink in the kitchen. I waited a bit & tried motrin & she was able to handle that. I called the ped. & they weren’t open until 10:30 & the emergency service said to bring her in. Well, DH took the car with the car seats to work & he was about 45 minutes away. Her fever went down by 10:00 so we thought she would be ok & didn’t go to the dr. Last night it was ok before bed & I put her to bed about 8:30-9:00pm. I couldn’t give Motrin again until after 11pm (6 hrs later than the last dose). I checked on her about 1am before going to bed & she felt sooo hot. I took her temp & it was 103.4!!! I gave her motrin & put her in a cool bath - she didn’t like that!! It was about 2:30am before she went back to sleep. Then I couldn’t sleep. My stomach was in knots & I had to keep getting up to use the bathroom & I felt nauseous. At about 8am Frankie was up. So I got up & took care of him. Then shortly after Angelina woke up. Her temp was 102.7. I spoke to the dr & was told I could increase the motrin amt to 2.5ml (from 1.875). Dh decided not to go to work & we took Angelina to the Ped at 10:30am. The dr said her right ear was red & her throat was red. They took a throat culture. It is either an ear infection or Coxia(?) - virus that causes sores in the mouth. She prescribed amoxicillin & it seemed to help. She was able to eat lunch & take a nap. Most likely she picked up something from being at the public pool on Sun. I am sooo tired. Since we’ve been home my appetite is back, so my ailment must have been from stress. Hopefully we’ll have a better night tonight.
